Kana, originally from Tokushima and born into the sake brewery Miyoshikiku, was drawn to the culinary world through his love for Spain. Having visited Spain numerous times, she fell in love with its landscape, food culture, and the warmth of its people. Inspired by the authentic Spanish flavors she experienced, she taught herself Spanish cooking and developed a unique approach to cuisine.
A conversation with his brother, who now manages the family brewery, rekindled his appreciation for Japanese sake. Motivated to share the beauty of sake, she opened KIRAZ, where she introduces pairings of Spanish cuisine and Japanese sake, showcasing the harmony between these two culinary worlds.
